Special Announcement

Beginning Friday, March 12, 2010 there will be some changes to the bus routes for students in Volant Borough, Washington Township, and Plain Grove Township.  PennDot will begin construction on the bridge in the Volant Borough (State Route 208).  The bridge will be reduced to one lane (WESTBOUND ONLY).  The bridge will be closed to all eastbound traffic.  PennDot has established State Route 956 to State Route 168 as the detour.  This will have a minimal impact on the morning bus routes, but there will be delays in the afternoon due to the detour.  The detour will add approximately ten (10) miles to the routes.

If your child drives to school, please discuss the detour and construction zone speed limits.  Be aware that speed limits will be enforced and fines will be doubled.
