At this time, Lawrence County remains in the substantial category of COVID-19 transmission. However, based on new guidance and recommendations from the PA Department of Health and the Department of Education, Grades K - 6 will have the option to return to daily face-to-face learning beginning Monday, January 25. (Start of 2nd Semester).
All learning pathways for students will continue to be available.
If you intend to switch your child's learning pathway for the new semester, please notify:
Ali Ciavarino (email@example.com or 724 656 8866 ext 6545) by January 20, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
As recommended, Grades 7 to 12 will remain virtual during this substantial phase except for a small number of middle school students. Beginning Wednesday, January 27, based on PA Department of Education guidance, a select group of 7th and 8th grade students will attend supervised virtual classes on-campus. These students will be recommended to participate based on specific academic needs. The Guidance Office will contact these families directly.
To accommodate a face-to-face option for grades K-6, the following changes are needed:
Grade 4 will be moved to the Middle School to provide additional space for lunch periods, socially distanced activities, or additional classroom needs.
Grades K-4 will begin at 9:00 AM and end at a new time: 3:25 PM.
The schedule for Grades 5-6 will remain the same.
The Elementary and Middle Schools will be providing more information as we progress.
If you are a parent/guardian of a K-6 student and wish to keep your child at home rather than return to school, please contact your building secretary or guidance office to let them know.
Thank You & Stay Safe!
